Accounting

Course Description

Accounting 1 is a background course for students who intend to major in business.  It may be an elective for others, whether they use the information for personal recordkeeping, for understanding the language of business or for preparation for advanced study.  Accounting helps the pupil to understand business practices and transactions and maintain proper records involved in day-to-day business activities.

The accounting cycle will be completed for both a sole proprietorship and a corporation, providing students with practical applications of the material covered.  In addition, students will complete a simulation project.
