Course Description

The Keyboarding is designed to facilitate the mastery of the keyboard by touch utilizing correct techniques.  This skill is a basic requirement of nearly every occupation and lends itself to lifetime personal use.  Students will be provided “hands-on” experience in the creation, editing and output of a variety of documents on a word processing system.

Proper Keyboarding Technique is essential to building skill and accuracy and preventing repetitive stress energy.  Remember these five simple rules whenever you are composing at the keyboard:

Feet flat on the floor

Eyes on the Monitor or Copy

Wrists low and fingers curved

Sit Up Straight

Hands on Home Row
